texthookTM fits the handlebars for the most popular brands of strollers, treadmills and other exercise equipment, including but not limited to Bugaboo®, Baby Jogger™, Maclaren®, Uppababy®, Phil & Teds®, BOB™, and Life Fitness®.
How do I know if texthookTM fits my phone?
Please see the list of compatible phones on our website. While we are constantly updating this list, it may not be comprehensive. If your phone fits and is not listed on our website, please let us know. Please make sure your phone is tightly secured in the base before using it on your handlebar.
What comes in the box?
texthookTM comes assembled and includes: (i) top slider, (ii) base and (iii) mount.
The velcro strap (included) is used to attach texthookTM to your handlebar.
How do I attach the velcro strap?
With the smartphone holder facing you and the fuzzy side of the velcro strap facing up, thread the velcro strap through the slit in the front of the mount. Thread from the top of the mount and pull through until the plastic loop is resting against the top of the mount.
Place the mount directly on the handlebar and bring the velcro strap up against the handle bar and thread it up through the slit in the back of the mount. The velcro strap should now be underneath the handlebar and coming out through the slit in the back.
Pull tightly as you bring the velcro strap towards the front in order to thread it through the plastic loop. Pull tightly and secure the velcro strap to itself. For the tightest fit, there should be three (3) layers of velcro under the bar.
Once I attach texthookTM to my handlebar can I remove it?
Yes. The velcro strap allows texthookTM to be quickly and easily attached/removed from any handlebar.
Can I use a headset with texthookTM?
Yes, texthookTM is designed for use with hands free headsets, such as Bluetooth®. texthook™ was not designed for use with headphones that plug into the phone. Although texthook™ may work with certain devices with headphones plugged in, this product is not intended to be used as such, and therefore we do not guarantee that it will accommodate a phone with headphones attached.
What if the slider starts to feel loose?
Lightly push the prongs outward in order to tighten the fit.
What happens if I over rotate texthookTM?
texthookTM is designed to rotate 180° . Rotation past 180° will BREAK the locking system that connects the base to the mount. DO NOT ROTATE texthookTM PAST 180°.
Will texthookTM prevent someone from stealing my phone?
No. texthookTM is not a security device and your phone should never be left unattended.
Will texthookTM protect my phone from the rain?
No. texthookTM is waterproof, but it does not protect your phone from the rain. All phones should be removed from texthookTM when water is present to prevent damage to your phone.
